The bad flash method is for samsung drives only. From what i understand from your post, you have a hitachi.

What drive version do you have and which birdy firmware did you try to flash? Birdy firmware has been known to brick peoples drives. They can be recovered but it typically involves removing the tsop and externally flashing it. There are people who provide this service with sites on the net.

What method are you using to get it into modeB? What does the drive do when connected to the 360? Nothing at all?

The main thing is you have a backup of your original and can buy a replacement drive if need be.

If you cannot flash the drive back to original firmware, there is a guy in the uk that you can send a bricked drive to and he will return it to it's original state, search on google for him.you will have to have your drive key or original backed up firmware for this tho
