Re: Flashing all hitachi's 46, 47, 58, 59, 78, And 79

yeah I did,

Ive noticed on the jungle flasher tutorials that you are supposed to set the drive into mode B before using the unlock CD

Is that right?

Re: Flashing all hitachi's 46, 47, 58, 59, 78, And 79

Hi all,
I am about to flash my 78 hitachi drive but have one last question. If I understand well i should keep the ethernet cable unplugged to prevent from beeing banned. If I need to update the xbox i guess I should go back to the original fw before plugging in the ethernet and connect. right?
I know its a silly question...:p

Re: Flashing all hitachi's 46, 47, 58, 59, 78, And 79

At this point either wait for new firmware to be released, wait for xdrive or get another 360 to play backups on and have one for live use if you are worried about a ban. As far as we can tell for the time being M$ isn't playing around and are banning almost anyone with a modded console. From my experience with being someone who does flashes for other people if you are worried that much about being banned just don't mod your console. I'm more than happy to take their money for my service(nominal fee and even less cost for reflash of a console I've already done) but I do not want them being mad at me or anyone when and if they get banned. I guess you would call it a full disclosure business model(sorta lol).

When it comes to going back to stock, that is something that has to be done on hitachi drives to just update them to a new custom firmware. That would be a LOT of reflashing. At this point I'de almost just leave your console stock and buy a banned console online from somewhere to just play backups on. No i am not promoting piracy here but we are not stupid and know that is why most of us mod their consoles. I live with a fellow gamer and we are not rich, that is why I mod.

Actually I have the CK3 so the flashing is handled by me. But if I for any reason want to go back, I restore the fw and M$ has no way of detecting that the unit has been flashed before?

We have no way of knowing if M$ can detect if you went back to CFW or not. So using that method as your cover my a$$$ plan I don't think will work. If you just can't wait, go ahead and flash your console, but I honestly think your wasting your time till the new firmware is out.

Re: Flashing a hitachi 79

Hi was in the middle of writing original firmware when maximus errored out. I now cannot turn my drive on. Do I now have a bricked drive? Is there anyway to get my drive working again?

This is the Xecuter forum. Try maximus website for support for their products. This forum only helps with Xecuter products and flashing programs like jungleflasher and iprep.

Hi - looking for some help with regards to flashing a 79. Ive done a few benqs and liteons in my time but not one of these. Brief description of setup is:

1. old p4 400fsb and a via card
2. xp32 bit
3. ck3 with the hitachi running off of the internal pc power (through the ck3)
4. sata cable plugged into the internal rear connector of the via.
5. VIAm driver disabled in the system32\drivers area (exclamation mark comes up in the dev manager)

Here we go....i run JF. send the modeb command which works but it says the drive cant be found. If i enable the viamraid driver then i can see the via ports in the top left box to check. Catch22. All i can see in the top right is the cd drive thats connected to the pc itself.

I believe i have to get this bit right to proceed.....thanks if anyone can help.

Actually - i have got a little further.....

After the previous post i thought id carry on with the fault finding. Ive renamed the viamraid back so its now active...rebooted and the via ports are there. Ive sent the command and the drive now pops up in the device manager but, once it found the drive its kinda locked up with the cursor coming up with the cd drive busy logo every five seconds or so....its also there in the box in the top right. So, as i say, a little further but no cigar yet....

Hello evrybody !

I have a little problem with my Hitachi 46 and need your assistance ! I used Jungle Flasher and CK3 pro to flash my drive. Everything is going like explained in this tutorial and Jungle Flasher says that my drive is flashed succesfully with the iXtrem 1.51 for the Hitachi 46. but, when I put my drive in my Xbox and try to launch a backup game, he won't see it ! What did I do wrong ?

Thanks for help ;) (And sorry for my english...)
