Hitachi 46, 47, 58, 59, 78, And 79 - Jungle Flasher Tutorial

Hey um got your files.

Had a look and all seems ok!

Is the CFW.bin you sent me the file you flashed to the drive?
And did you try re-flashing?

I can only suggest trying a different media verbatim discs or similar!
I cant see anything wrong in the flashing process or the cfw.bin.

Just a quick, hopefully simple question.

I am using the x360 USB kit, haven't used it in a few years, used it back in the day or GaryOPA . Anyways, I lost my original firmware backup and will be dumping the flashed firmware just to backup the dvd key. Question is this, do I need to use the "mode B" button feature on the x360 USB kit when using jungleflasher? Or no? It is a Hitachi 46 I believe.

Also, on the same token, if I were to flash the drive using jungle flasher, would I need to use the mode B button feature of the x360 USB kit or no?

NOTE: YOU CAN USE THE XECUTER X360USB INSTEAD OF A SATA CARD ON THE 46,47,58 & 59 Hitachi.

YOU CANNOT USE USB ON THE 78 and 79 Hitachi - YOU HAVE TO USE A SATA CARD !

Ive searched but can't seem to come up with the answer for this - Do you still have to use this port when flashing the 78? or just the 79? Was hoping not to have to keep the case off when doing the flashing.

Edit: Guess it won't be a huge problem, can feed the wire through an open back slot.

just get a ck3 xt adaptor then you can use this port and still keep your case closed. look for them on modtraders.co.uk.

only cost a few £ and well worth it.

Hi all
can not seem to get the key data of this hitachi 47
Im using a xecuter ck3 pro whick i belive has built in mode b as i do have to press eject twice to open and close it
I have a via 6421 card and the sata is connected to internal port as that was the only way i could flash a 79
anyways at my wits end with it now as can not seem to get jf to recognise the 47 drive
Any help would be great

red light right? that indicates mode B
just click 2 times to open the drive, JF closes it automatically..
after you click mobeB under hitachi tab click it twice, it even has a pop up saying so. then it will search for device. after the fail go under device manger and scan for changes.

if not try rebooting.
i did the same to me on a 57. drive was recognized and would send the modeB command but never said hitachi found until i rebooted my pc. i also notice that on my pc after a few used of JF i seem to have some issues and have to reboot

yes the red light is on on the kit not the blue
when i press mode b on the hitachi tab i then press eject twice on the kit to open the drive
I scan for changes but nothing happens will the change be with the dvd dives or the raid control ?
I have rebooted pc but still no luck
at no point do I get a fail on jf im using 1.73 after pressing the mode b button just a lot of dots

sometimes it takes a bit to reconize the drive.does JF close the dvd drive for you?
and of course the drive is reconized under the hitachi wright?

No jf does not close the drive
and the drive is not being recognised in jf at all

Ok, so which of these ixtreme firmware is for my Hitachi 79FK?

if youput all the firmware into the jf firmware folder, then jf will autoload it for you.

either that or post a pic of the hitachi tab on jf when your drive is connected and ill tell you what firmware you need.

if you put the 4 1.51-79 files into the jf firmware folder then jf will autoload it for you.. theres 4 different drive revisions for the hitachi 79 mate so i dont know which one you have. if you folloow the jf guide youll be fine. do you have the 79 unlock cd?

yes sir. I know where the folder is. I'm having an issue getting my pc seeing the drive.
