I do. I've added a '1' to the vrmsysraid file in my system32 folder. disabled and re-enabled the SATA card, still no luck -yet.

keep the drive connected and turned on. then reboot your pc and load jf and see if that detects the drive. some hitachis can be stubborn.

Now, the system32 needs the '1' at the end and the SATA card shows an exclamation point in control panel. this is all correct right?

i delete the viamraid.sys file. its not needed. but after deleting/changing the file and then re enabling the via card it should have a yellow exclamation mark next to it. then reboot the pc and check its still there.

I deleted the file and rebooted and then the PC said there was NO SATA card, and it still doesn't see the Hitachi drive............sigh.........

I don't get it. I successfully flashed a BenQ drive with this SATA card, I remember that was a pain at first being detected, but once it was I was off to the races

on hitachi dvd drives you should use sata drivers other way you will not be ablle to see the dvd drive reinstall your sata card

are you stupid? if youremove the drivers then it just means you have to use portio. i have flashed about 400 drives and a lot of hitachis and i havent had my drivers there since the minute i installed my card. dont give advice if you know nothing.

For the 1 millionth time, if you are using portio the hitachi drive will not show with a drive letter. This is normal. It's in the JF manual, our tutorials and even in the video guide I posted.

im also trying to flash a hitachi, its a 47 and dont seem to get far

Ive opend jungle flasher and selected the hitachi, it shows the details of my drive on the left hand side but not on the right, i press to do mode B then open the drive as it says to, i click on ok and the drive is ment to close after about 15 seconds or so, nothing happens

Ive got my ck3 lite swiched to mode b (i assume this it what its for)

Am i missing something

i dont bother with the mode b button but are you using a via card or onboard sata?

also now ive done mode b im now ment to press dump and read to source, only problem is it says

" rev undermined, aborted"

also are you using a via card? if so do you have potio selected? i cant see your pc mate so i cant see what your actually doing so be specific in what youre telling us.

i have a sata card connected and powerd via ck3 lite (molex) im not sure what the potio is so not sure how to check if its selected or not

i recently flashed my liteon 47850 so know everything should be working

ok on the hitachi tab on jf, towards the top in the middle it should say use portio and use winapi. makesure the portio is checked and not the winapi. post a pic of your jf hitachi tab when the drives hooked up, ill be able to tell you whether everythings correct.

If you've already flashed a liteon then your sata card should be good.
