Hitachi 46 wont read backups

This is the first hitachi ive flashed. Got it into mode b, got it detected in windows. performed the flash command and it said flashed 100 you can now turn off your system. Well thats what i did went to put a backup in and it wont read them. All my backups are properly stealthed patched. I dont know what i can do now besides restore and try it again. any other advice? thanks

if you know for SURE that your games are stealth .ive seen you around so im sure they are.it could be the laser on that old v46.i have a v46 that will play sometimes then on the same game it wont.
it wont hurt to flash back orig and flash again just to see(i dont think it will work)
it will still play orig RIGHT

Have the games worked on a previous modded system? Also, was your Xbox running for a while before you tried to play them? I have found that mine sometimes fails to read games if it is too hot.

I have 3 modded ms28's that they all work on . The v46 plays all original backups well all day long. But when it comes to a backup its acts as it still has orig. fw. I guess i will just try to flash back and try again. Thanks just didnt want to miss something i might not know about.

Yea i dont think the laser needs to be pot tweaked as it reads all the backups just fine without any dirty disc errors whatsoever. I tried pot tweaking a ms28 and it helped it some but not enough to be worthy. It wants to play backups more than the originals. On most if not all original games it will say "to play this game put it in an xbox 360 console". Im going to pickup a new laser for him.

Just wanted to note i figured out what the problem was. I have 2 different types of media i use. verbatim and memorex. It will read the verbatim just fine but not the memorex. the samsungs will read the memorex just fine but im going to stop buying them now.

Hey im having this problem as well. I was able to flash a hitachi v47 and backups work perfect. Then I flashed a hitachi v46 and it wont play the same backups that the v47 plays. I was using memorex but i bought some verbatim's since everyone seems to say they work better, but in this case the verbatims still do not work on the v46... Any suggestions?
