HITACHI NON-79 hitachi 78 dvd error

i have a hitachi 78 rom version 0078fk.. it works great but when you put a original game it reads it as a dvd .. when i press a it just has the xbox logo with the dvd fw rewind etc.. i think it the dvd drive was replaced but they didnt retrieve the key.. is there a way that i can mk this xbox work or is it a lost cause... gdr 3120l

It could be a dirty lens. Have you tried cleaning it?

wow that fixed it.. also on jf when i try to flash the 78 drive in open target it has 5 different ones but they are all lt 2.0 .. 78 4b00 78 4c30 78 4d20 78 4e10 how do i choose from these

You don't need to. That's the beauty of JF.

Open the Hitachi tab.

Set Mode B
Dump the Firmware.
Choose Flash LT Firmware
Done.

You don't NEED to touch the firmware tab AT ALL.
