HITACHI 79 Hitachi 79 Question.

I have learned a great deal from this website and have been able to find all my answers through searching except this one.

I have two Hitachi 79's that I believe do not have the ap 2.5 security checks. I did not have to burn new backups of my ap2.5 games with LT 1.1 and LT1.9. Therefore, am I safe to assume that I do not have ap 2.5 on my drives and I should be okay with LT 2.0B on live (as far as the silent updates go)? I understand that nothing is safe on live, but I do not want to get my drives flagged from user error.

I am 99% sure it is the pre 79 hitachis that do not to AP 2.5 checks. You should be fine running 2.0B off line but if you go on line you will get the silent dae update. You can play not AP 2.5 games just fine online. ie madden/fifa etc...

Today is the magic day and hopefully sometime this week 3.0 will be released for all drives that puts the silver bullet to everything. You might just want to hold off on all flashing till then.
