Hitachi Disc Drive options

I am not as knowledgable at this as you guys are so can you help me a cruticild buy a al desicion. My Hitachi disc drive stopped working it will not read any disc and I think it doesn't grap or spin the disc anymore. I thought about buying a drive for $60 off of ebay maybe this site or anther but then I relised it would need to be flashed anyways. Or I could buy a laser for $20 off ebay. I have cleaned the dust and the lens. Or I could send it into microsoft and they can find the problem and fix it but that is $110 right? So my options are :
1) New lens $20
2) New drive $60 + flash it
3) Ship it to Microsoft $110
4) Your way better solutions please help me

to sum it up... you will need to get the drive key from your original dvd-rom drive thats originally in the xbox360 console and then you can switch drives... but once u get a newer replacement drive you still gotta inject the original's drive key into the new drive then you can use it.

p.s. i dont know to much about hitachi drives in general as i have a Samsung MS28 myself... but what i said above is pretty much the basic idea behind getting your xbox360 working again

What if I buy a samsung? How do I put the old key in the new one? How do i get the old key. I have a list of specs from the top of the drive including ROM version. Please provide what programs etc. needed Btw thanks for a reply i was getting worried.
