It's weird that when the whole story comes out, then problems get fixed. If people who started threads gave all the information at the start we wouldn't have pages and pages of problem solving looking at half a problem. It's not just this thread but a lot more other threads aswell.

With regards to your last post and RAM upload, you say in your original post the drive was a 78. In the post above, are you changing your mind and now saying its a 47?
If so, thats the problem, RAM upload is for 78's and 79's.

Yes i do apologize for not stating that in the first post..... i was in a hurry to feed my son and get to work.

But yes thank you everybody for helping me.

I didnt change my mind, i had 2 drives and i was trying to flash booth. I got the 78 to work by spoofing it. and no i have a 47 that is giving me a ram upload error.

It doesnt make sense to me that you say ram upload error is for 78 79 only but the video tut says to use it for any version? and he does so using a 57.

I used the classic instead of ram upload and i was able to get the key but i am not able to flash the drive. (idk maybe im missing a step?) i'll try more tomorrow when i am off work.

I probably wasn't very clear. Yes you can use for all drives whereas, classic and mode select are available for pre 78. Meaning as yours was a 47 and not the original 78 we all thought, then other/better options were available rather than just RAM upload.
Let us know how you get on with the other one.

I got the 47 to do a classic dump. So that worked out because i was able to get the key and just spoof it onto the 78.

But as for the actual 47 i havnt been able to get it flashed, not to worried about it but would like to know for future reference if somebody doesnt mind posting a tut or something.

Also i have another v47 mfr date nov 2005 that i am flashing for a buddy.

I cant seem to get JF to find this drive. It will find a benq, a liteon, and sammy. But not this v47 with the mfr date of nov 2005

Is it true that these are not moddable? Is there any way at all to get the key off it?

:facepalm: its probably best to create your own thread on this problem instead of the end of someone else's thread that is that old lolz, and i'm sure you will get plenty of help..... in your own thread post jf log if u have it and what dash are you on and what games are you trying?
