Hey everyone I'm having a little problem using Jungle Flasher to dump my (spoofed) Hitatchi 79fl drive.

I'm using portIO as I have a VIA 6421 sata card and I'm running under Windows XP SP3.

I dont understand what this error means or even if I can proceed to flash the drive. I hope someone can clarify this
Thanks, Rhys

Hi TBsparky

In your subject you've put "Inquiry String not found" but your jungleflasher logs indicate otherwise.

Do you have a 256kb Hit-OFW.bin file at the end of the dumping procedure? I'm guessing from the 'Parse Failed!" message at the end of your log that you haven't, can you confirm this?

Cheers
Mark

Yes I have a 256KB dump file

but I have another problem too, once I left it and put it back together for the night I now have a RROD, with error code 0022 (GPU failure??)

OOOPPPSSS....0022 not good - I think that may be a reball - but u might get away with a reflow....strange to get it if it was working before, and very odd if u haven't touched any thing......do the fans spin??
on the parse failed bit - what fw do u have in the fw folder of JF?

I have the fans running via an external adapter but I think I may have caused a short when I swapped my spoofed drive for the original (Lite-on) to try and get the DVD key. For the firmware I used an AIO set but it failed to write anyway so I dont think its that.

Yes I have the firmware in the LT+ folder.

Nothing at all. the xbox worked fine until I restarted it (because JF coulden't detect the drive) and then it RROD

ok - I'll try again - exactly which firmware have u placed in the JF firmware folder?

you said u may have caused a short...what makes u say that?
why would u have the fans running via an external adaptor?

Well I'm not a soldering type so I decided to cut an external 12v adapter and use that.

I think I may have caused a short because I heard a slight spark (when the xbox was still green) but I cannot say for sure.

I have placed the "LTPlus-79-4e10-1.1.bin" firmware into my folder.
