So i ended up with a dreaded corona 360 slim...i knew this when i bought it i got it at such a good deal i just couldn't pass it up....my question is this: is there a way to determine what version it is by the physical charecteristics of it?

oddly enough the AV cords connect with what seems to look a lot like a headphone plug....also there seems to be a lot less USB ports then my trinity GOW3 system also it uses a circular PSU plug....one other note that may be of help is the MFG date: 2013-07-31 and the lot # is 1331X according to the box label

so my question is..what exactly am i looking at here?

If it has a single circular PSU socket, it is an XBOX 360 E.

It will have one of three motherboard revisions:

  • Corona V5 (with HDD)
  • Corona V6 (4GB)
  • Winchester (unlikely, but not impossible)

You will know for certain once you open up the console and check the NAND and XCPGU.

V6 it is then....the box states its a 4GB unit....what does this limit me to as far as RGH dual NAND DVD flashing ect ect

You can't install a DemoN unless you convert it to a 16MB console.
interesting...im guessing this process is possible then? im interested in more details on this and the difference between a corona V6 any for example a trinity....is the structure entirely different like the big block phats or something?

The difference is like a chicken and a cow, you probably find both at a farm but the similarities ends there. Corona uses a completely different PCB than Trinitys, some thing are similar like the shape and that they use the same kind of XCGPU.
