thanks to answer this simple kestion, im like kinda off searching on the net, read various crappy stuff, made my minds flip.

is there possible to run xbox360 games from its own hard drive?

you can always use the "install to harddrive" function in the dashboard

this still requires you to have the game disc in the tray though

the only way to run games directly off harddrive (including microsoft hdd) is to JTAG your xbox, which is only possible if you have a kernel of 7371 or lower

you can find your kernel in the system info panel

yes I just wish they would put more games on it, was gonna buy Alan Wake from it a few weeks ago and they didn't have it, so I ended up buying it from game trader.
