Was this exploit disabled in an update at some point ? i have a corona v2 with 4gb nand and i am following a guide to wire a multi card reader directly to it, it plugs into the pc via a mini usb cable and i have wired the points correctly and i have also checked for continuity with a multi meter to all points, i have the resonator pin 1 soldered to the av port for ground, i am using a butchered ethernet cable so not sure if this might be the issue or just a non compatible card reader ?

The green/white and blue wire do look close but they are not touching as i have tested with multimeter... and the brown wire bottom left is connected to solid green wire as it has the resistor added to it (68ohm)

And the reader end...

The length of the wire has to be short, otherwise it will not work.

Also i would recommend just using the TX qsb as it makes life much easier.

some card readers dont work with the 4GB 360 nands. your problem might be your install, or it could be the hardware you are using. I would suggest splurging a little, and getting the 4gb RW kit, as it makes life easier, and get rid of the homebrew mo you have.

Thanks, thats the exact guide i am using, and i have it wired correctly, i guess it is a reader hardware compatibility issue and i have ordered a kit, just thought i would try as its fun !!

This is a tx product support forum..why would you come here for support on homemade devices
Most unhelpful...considering this guide i am using was posted on this forum..pre TX creating the QSB for it..i think your comment is crap and pointless...no rep points available here i am afraid !

I dont want your rep points...there is a device specifically made for this exact thing(designed by professionals) you are trying to do. You would rather rig one up instead of spending 5 bucks to get the proper tools..most people that use your way of thinking end up with the same problems your having.

The guide was written well before the QSB was released and TBH, probably surplus now. Since TX make products to ensure this process is carried out the safest way, you are always best to get the kit recommended. If you had done a neater job it would be more satisfactory. Since there is no ECC on 4GB NANDs (something you should know), there's no way to check for errors.

Im always for making life easier, i have the NAND kit ordered but it will not arrive untill tuesday at the earliest, i saw that guide and thought i would give it a go, its a learning curve...

Since there is no ECC on 4GB NANDs (something you should know), there's no way to check for errors.
Thats interesting, i didnt know that. Does the NAND RW kit circumvent that ? it looks like there could be a NAND soldered there as it looks very similar to a TSOP 48 package but i think all those resistors would impede it underneath, i used to reprogram and replace a lot of TSOP 48 in modems a few years ago.

No - it's nothing to do with the method. The actual image is devoid of ECC, so you just need to make sure you have the best connection possible (with the least amount of interference).
