Hello guys!
First I will start with my xbox 360:
-jesper
-liteon DG-16D2S

Today I extracted with success the key from my xbox and when I wanted to write the LT+ 3, after I pressed erase lite-on and the process ended the green led on the xbox was flashing and the DVD wasn't detected anymore by the pc. I tried to reset the xbox but the DVD was not getting power. After that I wanted to assemble it(the hole xbox) back and when I tried the power button again -> RRoD(never had one until now). So i took a break to clear my mind. After 2-3 hours I came back into my room to try to make it work, BUT this time... no RRoD, no flashing green led... only a big red led on the power brick(now is orange flashing green, after i cleaned it). So yeah... anyone can give me any advice? I'm ready to buy a new AC/DC adapter and a new DVD, but what if the motherboard itself is fried? Any thoughts are welcomed.

NOTE:

  • I didn't use any professional tools and I know it's my fault.
  • After RRoD I powered it off but the power cable was still inserted, I don't know how it ended with a red led on adapter since it was't touch by anyone until I came back

Have you tried reflashing the dvd drive with the original firmware you have? You also need to post JungleFlasher logs to get a better idea on what you did on JF

After Erase the driver was not detected anymore and then the RRoD. I would post the JF log, but I don't know if it's saved anywhere.

Should be saved in the jungleflasher main folder. Whats your secondary error code for your RROD? Going to need to see the jf log. Did u actually flash anything back to drive after liteon erase?

No after erase all went down, I can't even power on the xbox now. There is no log on JF folder.
After I extracted the key and saved all 4 files in a folder I loaded the target firmware. Spoof the target then pressed the MTK flash 32. I made sure the drive was detected and i pressed erase lite on. I took the power off the drive when needed for ~1 second then power it on. This step was ok, the Flash Chip properties tab was populated. Then I wanted to press write but the xbox green power button was flashing and the driver couldn't be detected

I use this method and have flashed 5-10 Jaspers with 16D2S
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-3Zwirxg2c

After you press erase...you hit yes....then you have to cut power to the drive, then cut it back on
It worked...the drive should be in 0x72 mode.

---

Besides that.....are you sure its just not the power supply going bad (unless the xbox is somehow throwing voltage or something back to the power supply causing it to have issues)?
And it didn't RRoD after 2-3 hours because it probably cooled off (if the RRoD is a true overheating case)

I used the same video and worked until the write part.

Are you sure nothing is shorting any contacts inside the xbox or the usb ports, have you done any work on the board besides the dvd drive. Have you disconnected the dvd cables from the board.

U said u had RROD at the start, did u not get your secondary error code then?

Have u tried another power brick to rule that out? Also check your standby voltages, this thread will give u some points to use against ground. Failing that, u may have blown one of the mosfets on the board. The one under the southbridge is a usual culprit.
