Hi there,

I flashed a X3CE wrong (on on off off off),(Xbox V1.6)
Backup Bios does not boot.

I think i need a Hot Swap, i have an X3 but the alternative 5v
connector is different like X3CE do i need de 5V pluged in
at flashing hot swap ? or should i work without. (in other case i must search my soldering tools :) ) and ist it possible to do this with X3 Live ?

greetings

Did you try booting from banks 5678 (off on off off)??

If it doesn't work, then you'll need to solder the correct 5v wire. I would solder the two different 5v connectors at the same time.

I tryed several banks before and got the same effect, and now the best :)
I see the reset/eject connector is not installed (damned).
So i will fix this and hope Backup bios will work.

But for the future i would like to know the correct steps for hot swap reflashing.

1. I fire up my Xbox with working X3 (and X3 live)
2.boot in X3 Live bios ?1! (or should i use Slayers autoinstall disk? )
3.in witch order i have to disconnect the mod ?
- plug off (lan,hd,d0)
-plug off switch selector
-plug off alternative 5V (btw. what exactly do the 5v at 1.6? )
- pull of mod from the pin header.
4. X3 Live should still run ?
5. plugin the reset/eject connector on the empty X3CE
(any other need for flashing ? alternative 5v ? switch, d0 etc
6. plug it to the pinheader
7. flash with X3 Live

is this the correct order ?
and at least ist it possible do so without HD,and DVD connected ?
(much easier when you alone :) )
