Hotswap Help using X3

Hi & Thanks in advance.

We flashed a 2.6 (1.5 xbox) using the wrong bios (X3 3029 v16plus.bin) and now it is fragging. As we were following the X3 tutorial as it was the only one we can find. Now the chip is not working.

We now have the correct bios file to load: x2_5035_vOld_512k.bin

We have a box running an X3, is it possible to hotswap and fix the 2.6 chip?

We have tried to hotswap by loading the X3 1.6 xbox and loading it to Flashbios and then swap over the 2.6chip and flash it but after loading the file we keep getting the error: Unknown Flash: Halting

what are we doing wrong?

thx for the help but are you able to elaborate a bit more? :eek:


we have tried most combinations of chip swapping but continue to get the same error. the switch is still connected to the 2.6 chip when we move it to the working box with the flash protects all off. still get the same error.
