Hotswap procedure

[font=verdana, arial, helvetica]I'm going to need to hotswap a X3CE and want to make sure I'll be doing it right. I have not been able to find a clear doc that didn't leave me with questions. Someone please correct me:

1. Boot the good X3 to FlashBIOS.
2. Disconnect all cables from the good X3 and remove.
3. Install the X3 to be flashed and reconnect all cables.
4. Set switch to proper bank for flashing.
5. Start flashing(I assume from CD is okay?)


Is this correct?

You can get away with just putting the new chip on the pin header I believe as because your in flash bios you dont need the D0 and without the switch connected it will automatically default to bank 1 anyway. Yes you can flash from a disk too.
