to make sure they are proper stealth backups iv started using Xbox Backup Creator but i was using CloneCD before and burn at 2.4x or lower if it doesnt work. Also burn the .dvd file not the iso file

Look for a guide on how to make proper backups. You need to ensure at a minimum that the layer break is correct. You may also want to look into bitsetting. Figuring out what the two above sentences mean will answer your questions.

Use nero to burn .iso. Go to DVD option up top and then choose "burn image" option. Choose to finalize the disc and use a low-medium speed and click ok. your done!
