How can I commect my Laptop to my Desktop using a crossover cable ?

Xbox forum.... not a PC forum.
You have to connect them together, give them both Static IP's that are the same exept for the very last number in the last octet...
Like this PC = 192.168.100.1 Laptop = 192.168.100.5
Then add both the a workgroup with the same name
Like Workgroup = ImaNoob
then once they're both on the same workgroup... share a file on one... and then open my network places on the other... click on your workgroup name, then the icon that repesents your PC or laptop... and then the folder you shared.
Done.
