how can i get the backup

to work so i can flash it with the new biso i have a x3 ver 1.6 thanx

what's happening? Do you have a purple logo and a black screen? If so are you using the standard a/v cable or a component cable? Perhaps you've got flashbios 3.0.3 on your backup chip which doesn't work with 1.6 boxes, only 1.0-1.5 and 1.6b xboxes. Also how come you need to get to the backup? Did you get a bad flash? So many questions, I know...

no bad flash just whant to know how to do it in case i might what to up date.it came with 3.0.1.and yes useing h.d. cabels. and next i dont know whats on the back up.thanx

if you're trying to use flashbios, you need to use the standard av cables, otherwise you get a black screen. Easiest way is to ftp the flashbios file to your xbox and then from the X3 config live you can flash your backup bank.
