How can I play Smash Bros 2.0.0 online without having to update to OFW 7.0.0?

I'd like to play Smash Bros Ultimate Online. I heard with EmuNand, online game play is "relatively" safe from being banned.

However, here's where I'm stuck... I have to update to OFW 7.0.0 in order to download the latest version of Smash Ultimate - 2.0.0
My Switch is currently on version 6.2.0. I'm not going to update nor downgrade.


If, I install EmuNand, and update my Smash Ultimate with an NSP patch, would I be able to play online "relatively" safe, while still keeping my Switch on OWF 6.2.0?

Damn it all! I guess it would be - "Game Over" if I did. Haha! (pun intended)

Any how, so what's this I hear about people being able to go and play online with their Switch's if they keep themselves safe with EmuNand?

Does it work for games where people aren't under the pressure of needing to update in order to play online?

Prior to Smash requiring OFW 7.0, I was fine booting into OFW 6.2 to play online, SX OS (non-EmuNAND) for .XCI cartridge emulation (stealth mode on of course), and EmuNAND SX OS for any .NSP only games.

I was even able to boot into SX OS (non-EmuNAND) to load an .XCI as cartridge, then load OFW and update the game from home menu. No ban. Could change in the future but this was safe for me.
