GENERAL How Do i extract the key from a lite-on that is spoofed as a lite-on?

Hi Sorry if this is a very silly question but i do not have much experience with drives that are spoofed to think the are other drives but anyway i have a Xbox 360 that has been flashed and had its drive changed about 4 times, it has had the motherboard changed also. All i know is that the original drive is lite-on and i do not have the key.

So do i just extract the key as if it were the original drive? Because i was thinking if i do that will it not just give me the key for the new drive and not the original. it currently has LT+ firmware.

currently i am using the ck3 pro and probe 2.

Load JungleFlasher first and see what it shows then follow the links for your drive (if it is spoofed, treat is as the actual drive it is). As a rule, you shouldn't have a spoofed drive because it forces updates to fail and will also force your console to throw errors.

Thanks for the reply! all the work done on the console was done by a shop when it was owned by some one else and they binned the original drive so i cant put that back in.

I have a rough idea about how to do it but if i were to flash it again i would have to update the dash on the console and as i understand if i have the drive flashed/spoofed then the update will fail so how would i go about getting the update installed without it failing and with out the original drive? should i just flash it and take the risk and hope that it does not fail?.

easy, load up JF, dump the drive, that will get you the key, grab the original fw from iextreme pack, put key into that and flash drive, ure drive will now be at stock.

dash update

then update to 2.0.

i hope u have a 360 usb, liteons are a pain without them

what dash are you on at the moment.

i take it you dont have the dummy file from when it was flashed last time.

also you need a probe 3 to extract the dummy file.

or you can just convert your probe 2

I do not have a probe 3 or 360 usb. Is it possible to use the probe 2 with out moding it?
im unsure exactly what dash it is but i know it is the kinect dash.
I do not have the dummy file.

For example i was to do the reset glitch hack would it matter what firmware the drive has or does the drive have to be stock for that to work properly? the motherboard is a jasper with HDMI port.

You can use the probe 2 and perform the MRA hack. If you perform the RGH then you can obtain your drive's key without extracting it from the drive but honestly you are willing to invest in all that hardware to perform the RGH and can't invest in a Probe 3? Then make your own or convert the probe 2 to probe 3.

the reason why i will not invest in the probe 3 is because i do not really need this console as i have got a console that i have flashed with 2.0 i just want it to work so i can sell it and get whatever i can for it.

i would rather invest in the RGH hardware because i think i would prefer a JTAG rather than a plain old flashed console plus i do not want to waste money on something that i will use once and maybe never again because i am not very good at flashing the consoles so i do not flash other peoples.

but thanks for your help and i will try the MRA hack because i at least have the equipment to do that.
