How do I find out if a drive is iHas B?

Hi,

So a bunch of websites and stores carry iHas drives but don't mention if they are rev B or not. If I go to the store then is there any way to figure out from the drive's packaging/box if the drive inside is rev B or not?

Secondly, if someone's selling an iHas drive online (like on kijiji) with iXtreme firmware already on it, is there any way to verify whether the drive's working as expected when I go to the person's place to pick it up?

ihas a,b,c,y etc

Crap so theres no way to find out if a drive is B without opening the box? Isn't there some way to tell from manufacturing dates or serial numbers or something?
