How do i flash my backup bios? Should I bother?

Ok, I have a 1.6b xbox, x3ce mod chip.
I could not boot to bank 1234 (on, on,off,off),
so I booted to bank 5678 (off,on,off,off),
flashed the latest bios to bank 1234, everything is lovely.
Anyways, If I press both eject and on, the xbox tries to boot to the
backup bios, which does not work.
Is it worth my effort to update the backup bios so that I can
boot to the backup bios, if need be?
I know I can download the backup bios (3.0.3 or whatever it is),
but, just how exactly do i flash the backup bios on the x3ce?
I tried searching, but no dice.

you can flash the backup bios through X3CL, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea since 3.01 is useless for you. if you ever had a prob atleast you could use the backup.
