how do i ftp evoX w/ X3?

i have my chip installed, backed up my hdd, put in a 120gb hdd, transfered the files back, locked my new hdd, and i can boot to the MS dash......

but now i cant ftp my evox files over to my c: drive.....do i still need to make it an iso file?tryed renameing it default.xbe all im getting is transfer failed from flashFXP?

i dont know what else to do...any help?

Which dash are you using while you are trying to ftp?

Unlock the hard drive and you'll be able to ftp again

Hdd lock status has NOTHING to do with FTP capability.

What you want, is to transfer these 2 files to the C:

evoxdash.xbe
evox.ini

Now, the evoxdash.xbe may have been renamed by you to default.xbe as you said. If so, rename it back.

You can also copy the Skins folder into your C: but it is an optional extra.

Ok i spent about 5 hours trying to figure out what happened to my xbox yesterday. I had the same problem this guy is having. I lost the ability to ftp from my pc to xbox, after changing my network about 10 times and changing gateways and ports and still wasn't able to do anything. After locking my hardrive though everything worked like a charm. I'm not arguing but sometimes we overlook the simple things and tend to focus on the more difficult things first.

what you want to do is set up your network on your comp b4 you turn your box on, then open flashXP, and do your transfering, i found that to be helpfull.....after waiting 3 hrs to copy NFS underground to my comp...doh!

oh and the ftp'ing evox to hdd.....i just didnt open the C: drive, i was clicking and draging the files and putting them ontop of the C: folder.....doh!

I do agree with your last comment, we can often overlook the simple things. In my oppinion though, the hdd lock that you did is most likely coincendental.

I am having the same problem here with the ftping thing...after correctly installing the chip and evo dash...i cant ftp anything to the F drive...all i get from flashfxp is

I have no idea what to do...i have locked, unlock, and relocked my harddrive...Help please?
