Okay so basically I have Halo 3 and I'm wanting to get the xex from it. But I dont want it to be in GOD format because ive heard you can't get the xex. I also dont want to have to use the disk for the game, but could someone please help?

if you have the image of the game on your PC, you can use software like xbox image browser to extract the xex
if you don't have the image on your PC, you'll have to rip the disc onto your PC
you can also rip the disc directly to your 360/usb hard drive using FS3

Wait so using xex format I will be able to mod my games and play them still correct? I'm just basically wanting to have access to all the game files unlike GOD format. I need all the files so I can modify the game without limitation. So that's all need to do and I was have the full game on there so I can modify it?

Put the original into your DVD drive. Go into File explorer. All files will be available on the DVD: mount.
