how do i install xbmc on my xbox (x3)

how do i install xbmc on my xbox (x3) and do i need to install evo x dash board

Boot into configlive... and ftp into your xbox using the ip listed in the bottom left corner and username x3 and password x3....

If you want to use XBMC as your dashboard....

Here's how i did mine....

1. Rename the xbmc default.xbe to xbmc.xbe...
2. Edit xboxmediacenter.xml and in between the <home></home> tags at the top, put in E:\Apps\XBMC
3. Upload xbmc.xbe and xboxmediacenter.xml to your c:\ on your xbox.
4. Upload all the other xbmc files to E:\Apps\XBMC
5. Edit the configlive settings and put xbmc.xbe at the top of the boot priority.
6. Now, just select reboot to dash.

says no comports when i boot jungleflasher?

I need help really bad. This is my first time tryin this and i have got stuck at the beginning of starting jungle flasher because when it starts up it says no comports found then proceeds to the screen where my box is never found in any of the ports,I am using win7 and chipset idk i think either IDE ATA contr.82801 G (ICH7 FAMILY) or storage contr. ICH7R/DH SATA RAID????? please help?

what drive do you have?

are you running JF in compatibility for XP?

Do you really want to risk a possible freeze up by using a chipset you have no idea what it is or just spend the 30-40$ and buy a via card or even better a CK3 probe and adpater (probe if you have a lite on drive)?

which tutorial are you using?
Maybe your chipset just isnt compatible. There used to be a site i knew of that had a list of all the compatible chipsets but its prob way outdated now.

have you tried another port on your machine, ALSO are the sata ports turned on in the bIOS????? BE SURE cause i just flashed one for a freind the other day and the ports were turned off (how it happened i dont know since im the only one using the machine) but the drive wouldnt show up until i turned them on.

It just means you don't have any communication ports in the back of your pc.. You'll be fine as long as you don't have a lite on.

yeh i get that message too but i just ignore it, then i click on mktflash and change the port then change it back to the original port it was on (thinks its 0x870) and my benq pops up.

Win 7 is abit funny with jungleflasher for some reason, i get a few sticks here and there sometimes, i've reverted back to dosflash as its alot quicker sometimes.
