how do i know if a hard drive is lockable/unlockable

hey, does any one know of a website in which you can like type in a serial number or give a model number and find out if it is lockable/unlockable for xbox compatability?
heres the one im looking at and am not sure if i should buy it cause i don't know if it is lockable.........
