How do I lock the hardrive?

Hi

Please dont laugh, but how do you lock the hardrive. I entered the settings screen and under hardive info: it said my drive supports locking, & that it is unlocked. It also gave me a hardrive lock key 7793cd.....etc. it also looks like this under the Disk Tools \ Current Hardrive Setup \ hardrive Lock: Disabled.
I looked at the forumn but Im not quite sure, could some please tell me where to go under the settings and how to lock/ unlock my hardrive.

Boot cromwell, it has an option for it

If you are running evox, it too has the ability to lock and unlock the hdd.

MNy system is running the Slayers auto iunstaller on it

well put your slayers disk in, and boot with it in the dvd drive, an there is an option for lock/unlock

erased lite on problem

im trying to reload firmware and i erased my lite on, now i cant get it back, ive tried intro device and it keeps failing i also cant eject the drive with my ck3........ help

if you have a good dump of your original bin your still ok.

drive won't eject if you've done the liteon erase. you have to manually open it to the half open position.

after tray is half open then do the liteon on erase again and follow the prompts it will then go into vendor mode so you can write your .bin file back to it.
