How do I remove my X3 chip (sending off for a reflash)

I have an X3 and a 1.6b xbox. I botched the flash and after exhausting efforts, have come to the conclusion that a hotswap is necessary.

is there a guide (w/ pics preferably) that can show me how to remove the chip so I don't have to mail off the whole xbox?

I have a soldered chip by the way.

All you do is take the chip off the pinheader and remove any cables attached to it.
