How do I update iXtreme from 1.2 to 1.2b?

Is the procedure same as if I'm installing it for the first time?

I have a MS28 drive and I used iPrep to install iXtreme 1.2.

So I need to do iDump [serial] again and backup my firmware again? What's the purpose of backing up hacked firmware? I thought only the original firmware is the one you should keep safe?

You're only doing iDump again so Samtool (which runs as part of iDump) will extract your key and patch it into the new hacked fw for you. As long as you have your first orig.bin saved you don't need to worry about saving anything this time.

iXtreme 1.2b
This version is for users who may have lesser quality lasers that have issues reading media. It offers nothing more than a slow-read.

Regarding iXtreme for hitahi: Soon We are currently testing, and everything seems smooth. The hitachi ixtreme will still need to be ported over to each specific version (v32-79), so that will take a little time, but most of the hard work is over.
