Hi, I just modded a Falcon with CoolRunner 2 rev. B. and it won't boot. How can I write the original NAND back? I can access the NAND on the console(read/write) bu I don't know what's the best method to revert to the original. I also have 2 identical dumps with the original NAND.

Thanx

A little more info required. Have you written the ecc image, can you boot to xell, is the coolrunner blinking? If you've damaged something during the install you may not even be able to boot with either way. Some pic of your soldering as well will help.

OK, the story is a little bit longer:

1. Installed NANX-X, installed CoolRunner.
2. Itag Tool - dumped 2 nands, OK
3. Wrote .ecc - OK
4. .ecc to console - OK
5. Tried to boot in XELL - no chance, the green led from the coolrunner was blinking once at 3-5 seconds but no XELL, tried 4-5 times, same result.
6. Desoldered and resoldered - broked point B near HANA chip - remade the trace - went to R2R6 alternative point; broked FT6U7 - went for the alternative point on the other side of the MOBO, just under the heatsink.
7. As an idiot I am...WROTE FREEBOOT.BIN to the console without the CPUKEY...
8. Now, the console won't boot(it is starting) and the green led on coolrunner won't blink. I tried to program the coolrunner again and the green led was blinking during programming. I also tried to program it even when switched to NOR and and the green led was blinking too(exactly the same as programming it with PRG).

I read the nand with Jtag Tool, I don't know what's the option to write it back with this tool. Is there any alternative tool to do that? It's my first RGH

One more question, I used to mod PS2 and I still have some very thin wire. Can I use it with CoolRunner? Of course, excepting 3V3 and GND?

FREEBOOT.BIN - It was an option in the jtag tool, under FREEBOOT --> write bin

Also, what I start the xbox with / without coolrunner, the fan has a pattern of reving up and reving down, I don;t know how else to explain

We're you following a tutorial or just running at this with your eyes closed? Will the console attempt to boot after the repairs you've done? If so I'm sure this is salvageable if you have your original nands.

No, the console was not booting, only the middle greenm led blinking and the FAN pattern(as a car does when you push trottle to maximum and the carCPU cuts the revs)

No, it's not complicated but I read so many tutorials and fixes that I'm very confused.

Then why even attempt it if you're still confused? Do you know how little sense that makes???
