Hello,

My soldering is good on the xbox I want to read the nand on, but it wont read. How do you use a multimeter to check it the points are good. And also if the power brick is red when you plug in the console or if it wont turn on can you usually read the nand?

Red power brick is not good. You should post pics of your soldering so you can get proper feedback. Dont keep trying with a red light on your power brick.

Also, if you want help, you'll need to provide a lot more details, what are you using to read nand, what program, etc.

Go from your solder point on the coolrunner to the solder point on the motherboard. That should give you your reading.
He's trying to read nand, so the CR doesnt come into play here.

You can always check continuity between the pin outs on the nand-x (I assume you are using it since you didnt answer my question) to the pads on the motherboard.

Also - if you are asking how you literally check continuity, put your MM on resistance setting, if you get a reading between two points then you have a connection. Most MMs have a beep feature also which beeps when two points are in contact.
