How long should it take to flash the bios?

My bios has be chugging along for a while now to get it flashed, its a V1.6 with the X3 chip using 3294 bios

Mine only took about 10-15 sec. Check to make sure that your disk is free of dirt, give it a wipe and try again.

As long as progress indicator keeps moving every few seconds it should be good...
1.6 should be flashed with 3294 v16plus bios, probably doing that but I like to state the obvious sometimes...

Ya I'm using that I just forgot to write that but I think I'm not using the 3.0.1 loader so I'm going to try to do that

ACtually I am using the 3.0.1 and it just hangs in the middle of flashing so i just use the backup to boot and try again but it still doesn't work......any suggestions? I'm flashing via network, I'm downloading nero because I can't find my copy of it and then i'll try using a disc to do it

Make sure bank settings are correct. You need a 1mb bank selected.

Ya that worked, i have the X3 front control panel and i thought having all the buttons lit up (on on on on) was the 1mb but on on off off off was the ticket
