Hello,
1st, i would like to thanks the Team Xecuter for their awsome work. I waited for an update for 7.0 but it worthed it. THANKS A LOT.

I wanted to avoid downloading a new firmware and stay with the 7.0 i have.
I need some game updating that need internet to download but don't want to download automatically any firmware updates...
Is there a trick working ? DNS, maybe....

Search for the game updates online? 7.01 is safe to upgrade to btw, so for the moment you have nothing to worry about.

There is no sure fire way to avoid updates as at some point games will be signed with the newest master_key and you will not be able to stay on lower FWs. The game itself will tell the console there is an update at that point. Just check here as we make announcements when we know FW updates are coming to advise people not to update until SX is confirmed to work, but also just use common sense and don't update right away.

Easiest way is to just stay in airplane mode. Or course that does't do anything if you are using an ethernet adapter with your dock.

Go to Settings > System > and turn off "Auto-Update Software".

That does not prevent the console from telling you there are updates. So just like with any computer pop-up, you always have to read before you click. It will however prevent the console from automatically downloading and updating the firmware for you.

As for installing new system/firmware updates (not talking about game updates), chances are very good that SX OS will be updated to work with any new firmware that Nintendo puts out by the time a game actually says you have to update your firmware to play it... But ALWAYS check SX OS compatibility before any firmware update !!!!!!
