I made 5 copies of gears 3 rrod and i got so many trouble to play the games.It seams my benq cannot read well the 2 layer.I did n get any problem whith xgd2 burned games,just xgd3.Whath can i do to fix this issue? I did n get any error at 97 percent,image burn just burn to the end the media,and i got the media jump at 2133519 not at 2086911 why?I just did the tutorial 5 times and i try also clone cd but whith the same result.
I got a memorex burner and i used imation dl dvd or memorex dl
Any suggestion to fix my issue,but i still wanna use my memorex or imation dvd dl

So, I'm an idiot and deleted the .dvd file. Can I use the iso, or should I just re-rip my copy? My drive is in my closet and would save a lot of time to use iso. Thanks!

I'm in a college dorm. It's in my closet buried in a drawer. Ripped it immediately, and put it back away since I have minimal space. Yes, I am being lazy

Open Notepad.exe

Paste in:
LayerBreak=2133520
GOW3_BACKUP_03OCT11.iso

(or whatever you named your iso)

save as GOW3_BACKUP_03OCT11.dvd (or whatever your iso name was, but make it a .dvd file instead).

Slightly off topic question, but related to burning backups. If I flash my drive with lt+2.0, I understand the situation with a p25 and xgd3 and there being a risk of getting flagged if burned/patched incorrectly. But with non ap25 games prior to xgd3, I'm presuming I'm almost 100% safe?

No.. Then you are as safe as can be with a backup.. No one can put a percentage on it.. It would be all speculation which has nothing to do with knowledge..

Hello, I have burned 4 discs already, but the issue still occur. I have a problem with my Gears Of War 3. I couldnt installed the game to harddrive for some reason, when it reaches 46% the reading stop and it said my dvd is dirty or have some scratches please try again, on over disc stops at same postition and the reading sound smooth, didnt make any super reading noise. However, I still can play the game ok, I prefer to play game from HD because the cd reading so loud. I read in some other forum they said some console do not work with xgd3 right now. Could that be possible?

can someone give their veiws on this please i just burnt a copy of gears 3 and run it through abgx and i got a massive eror saying it isnt recognised as a xbox 360 game
layerbreak for this dvd was reported as 2086912 [ expected 1913760 if this is a xbox 360 backup
it then says it probably wont boot on a xbox 360

this copy was done using clonecd i also done one with imgburnand got the same result they both work fine is this because it is a new game and abgx doesnt recognise it

Gears 3 is a XGD3 tittle and ABGX doesnt have support for that yet. Layer break is also different from XGD2 tittles

As you may know (or may not know) when burning XGD3 titles with IMGBURN it throws up lots of errors (the backup still works just fine - the game partition is completely intact).

We have successfully tested Clone CD and even though the burns are 1:1 same as IMGBURN

Software: CloneCD v5.3.1.4
Media: Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL
Hardware: Pioneer BDR-205
Image: 0800 v3 Rip (Liteon DG-16D2S & XBC v2.9 Build 345)

1. Select Write Image From File

2. Select the .dvd file of your XGD3 rip

3. As you can see the layer break is 2133520. Click Next.

4. You can set your Write Speed to whatever you like. As I use Verbatims I always set to Max. Never had a problem at 8x. Click OK.

5. Select "Write Until the End of the Media is reached" then click OK.

7. We now recommend that you Install the game to your hard drive. This prevents any authentication errors that some people experience when using certain burners / types of media (This can be caused by many factors - overheating, poor quality laser, bad burn, bad media, incompatible burner etc etc) It also happens with retail non burned discs so its not a FW issue.

8. If you have any problems like a black screen when the game boots up - simply clear your Xbox's system cache. That should fix it.

I need the Clone CD last version or Clone DVD last version?.....Is supposed to burn a DVD, not a cd.

Quick help needed here. Im jst about to burn a back up using Clone CD but for some reason, when I browse for the ISO, I can only see the .dvd file in Clone CD. I thought its the game ISO file is the one you need??? Tha:smile:nks guys and any help with this, will and always will be very much appreciated

Hello,
I am having a problem I put my backup dvd of Driver San Francisco and enter the game and when I choose to play in the menu, a error occurs saying tha the dvd needs to be clean, same thing if I try to copy to hd.
I use Verbatim this tutorial with clone cd and my dvd burner of my laptop.
