How to change x2logo?

Can I just download a x3logo and rename it to x2logo.bmp put on the E: drive and it will display or do I have to put it in a folder and change a setting in the 5028 ini?

I've tried it with TM logo enable and disable with the x2logo.bmp under the E: drive but no go.

Just wondering if I'm doing something wrong and if someone can shed some light on this.

Cause I figure x3logo would work if renamed since their the same size.

Ok got it working, just too it for granted that the x3logo would be in 256 color but it wasn't, so once I changed that it worked fine.

Stupid question time...

So can you put in any bitmap you want in there?

I'll have to check that out!

All I did was create new bitmap, sized 180 x 50 pixels (as per the .nfo), with 256 colors, put it on E: along with the ini file (ini not necessary of course unless you want to change the background color from black to *anything*)

I'm having problems getting this to work work with 5028 bios.
Created a new 180x50 pixel 256 color bmp named it x2logo.bmp and copied it to the root of the E:\ drive along with the x2config.ini and still nothing.
What am I doing wrong here?

Some logos i tried from allxboxskins.com work, some dont, and i dont really know why. Try some more, you might get it to work.

there may be a small bug where you need to have debug enabled - just try that for me - see if the ones that didnt work before work now

if not - then simply make sure they are the correct format in photoshop - its not rocket science

it would also help if you told us which ones you can and cant get to work from AXS - my mind reading skills are a little sketchy these days ;)

Typical, do you guys think your engineers or do instructions make you feel like less of a man ?

Test-Logos

These Logos are no 256 Color Bitmaps, I converted them from 24bit to 8bit, now these Logos work just rename the logos to x2logo.bmp and copy them to E:

To convert to 8bit (256 Colors) just open the files with Paint and save them with 256 Colors

No logo

For some reason I just cant get the x2logo to display on bootup.

I've done as instructed in the nfo/here on forum.
My picture is 180x50x256. I tried both RGB Color and Indexed Color in Photoshop. Neither seem to work. Tried calling the file both x2logo.bmp and x3logo.bmp on the E:\ drive. Also tried to download some of the files that were posted as attachments here on the forum, but none work.

The settings from the x2config.ini file is read fine, so its strange that the logo dosnt work. I havent tried booting in debug mode, as the ini file says you need the SDK installed, which I havent.

I got a Xbox 1.0, X2_5028 bios on TSOP.

On the very first boot after flashing 5028, there was a logo beneeth the Xbox logo that said something like "Xectuer Powerd", but it is gone now. It only showed up on the initial boot, and doent return even if I delete all x2 related files on e:\

Hrat.

Well i got mine to work. I used paint, just to test it out. I used pics of some little cartoon cars i found on another website and just enlarged it to the 180x50 and saved it as a 256. Renamed it to x2logo.bmp, added it to the E: and it worked on the first try. I love this feature now!!! hehe

I can't get the logo to display at boot up when I'm using a PC DVD ROM in my xbox. When i switch to one of the stock DVD drives the logo is displayed. The only problem is my stock DVD is f****d and causes my xbox to crash.

Not complaining though as the boot up seems faster when my PC DVD is connected.
