How to clean my CFW to make a clean Emunand for online play

Hey guys, I wanted to follow this guide: but unfortunately I am stuck at a very easy stage:
I cant, for the life of me, read out the key. I went into the sxos rcm mode and then connected my usbc cable but I could not connect I think. THen I tried to get into "Nintendo recovery mode"but it didn't even turn on.

So I put the biskeydump.bin on the root of the sd card,went into sxos rcm mode and then to options and then inject payload and selected the biskeydump.bin. WHich led to a black screen and I have to press the off button for 20 secs.

So here is my question: What am I doing wrong? Or is there another way to clean my Sxos CFW? I do not have a backup, because I already bought the Switch used and the previous owner had atmosphere or something on it. I just want to be able to go online


edit: on that note, to get into the Nintendo recovery mode, I tried it with and without jig. With and without sxos dongle. I press down both volume up and down and tap power. Was that wrong?

Would need more detail about firmware and such but it seems you are "chain loading" the payload. There are two steps to CFW or payload launching. RCM and then send payload. Most don't uderstand that if they use the SX setup since it's both at one by the directions. Use https://switchtools.sshnuke.net/ (TegraSmashGui) and connect to a pc then boot to RCM. Switch screen will remain black. Switch on program screen will turn green(may ask to install driver) then select payload and send. The other option is to us Atmosphere and launch file. Based on your post the easiest way is the first one.

The video involves modifying your NAND. Understand that this can easily lead to a brick if you do not 100% totally understand what you are doing.
I am not trying to discourage you but if you are having trouble launching a payload you are not ready for this. Also there is no known way to be certain this will not also lead to a ban.

I know it isn't 100% foolproof with the ban evasion but I feel like I should try.
