Ok heres my problem. When i connect my xbox to my pc via LAN cable to ftp into it, it needs the AV cables attached to the xbox or else it will flash green and orange and will not boot to dashboard so i can ftp into it.

My old xbox 1.0 did not have this problem, but now i have a 1.6 with x3 and it does this.

Is there anyway to disable this so i only have to bring my powercable upstairs to my computer and leave the AV cables attached to my tv downstairs? this will save me a huge hassle from unplugging the AV cables from the back of the tv each time i want to upload a new game to the harddrive on the xbox from my computer

xbox 1.6 with x3 with latest bios

Thanks :)

Edit - Sorry, didnt know you had a 1.6 Theres a hack for the 1.5 and lower in the bios... maybe there is another way.

Maybe the new Xecuter bios will have it in :)

how would i go about applying this hack to the 1959 x3 v1.6 bios? Also, what program is it that applies the hack?

oh well, i can't find it. but im fairly sure you jump pins 9 and 10 in the picture below. pm sapper, Forta-Kon, Barcode, or cueball13 for more help on the subject.

applying ?

its already enabled
Yep, I just tested it and it works. Completely unplugged my AV cable connector gave it a boot and it loads without a hitch. A hack I didn’t even know existed, though I doubt I’ll ever have a need for it.

how do i enable mine then? because it will NOT boot without the AV pack plugged in, it just flashes green and orange and i CANNOT ftp into it without the AV pack plugged in
