The following guide gives instructions on how to erase your EEPROM on X3. I am assuming you have installed Evolution X dash, and that you have ****ed up your settings in one way or the other and now you don't have video.

1) Download /XBOX/bios/Xecuter/Xecuter3/_old/x3_eeprom_erase.rar from #xbins
2) Press power button fast to boot your xbox into mod.
3) Find out which IP address you have.

this could be tricky, especially if you screwed up so bad that you don't have video. Some skill is necessary for this.

4) FTP into your box, credentials should be either xbox:xbox, or x3:x3, or whatever you had it set to before you ****ed up.

5) Once you established FTP connection, chdir to drive C
6) Create directory on drive C named erase
7) Copy default.xbe file from x3_eeprom_erase.rar package.

Now you should have /c/erase/default.xbe

8) Download evox.ini onto your hard drive.
9) Edit xbox.ini like so

Code:
[Menu]
Section "Root"
{
Item "Erase EEPROM", "c:\erase\default.xbe"
Item "Play Game or Media from DVDROM Drive",ID_Launch_DVD
Section "Play Games loaded on HDD"
add Item "Erase EEPROM", "c:\erase\default.xbe" as the first line.

10) Safe the edited evox.ini file.
11) Delete evox.ini on your xbox and upload the modified evox.ini in it's place.

12) Reboot xbox into mod again.
13) Press A button and wait. (this should lauch that first application on the menu list)

\erase\default.xbe will execute and reboot your xbox automatically. Now all your settings are back to defaults. Hopefully this experience was painful enought for you, perhaps you spent your entire Sunday ****ing with xbox, thinking you ****ed it so bad you'd have to buy a new chip now. Well, now you know how to recover and go back to normal. :)
