Yes me too I have a broken and would like to know. I hope it's just a diode or transistor to change.

I would like to know that too ... I havn't screwed up mine yet (and I hope I never will), but I see a lot of NAND-X are dieing out of a sudden.
So I would like to know, what actually gets broken when it happens and especially how to fix it afterwards.

Thanks,

Update:

I checked every component on nand-x from a faulty one to a working one.
That big middle chip on the nand-x I didnt measure to much pins :p, but all other components measured the same..

So I guess if nand-x not working by putting console on with nand-x or make a mistake, that big chip dies or corrupts.

Nand x recongized in windows, will work only with usb I guess, so that big chip in nand -x is responsible for writing and reading nands?

so just reflash the arm or replace and reflash , I dont have a new arm chip on the moment...

so if someone can conform this =D thank you :)

Hey :)

Ah , great, so I was right thank you, what is a jrp? I have no idea :(
Also, what can I use this broke nand-x for? is it usable?

I have a dead ck3 the chip that connects directly to the usb 5v, that ic is bad, can I use nand-x components to fix it? or can the nand-x be used for something else then this?

let me know

thank you :)

It can probably still be used to program CoolRunners, but a JRP (JR Programmer) also has that function.

I have a NAND-X here with the exact same issue (blown IC) which is kept in my toolbox - you never know, I may find a use for it some day :) lol.

Cool, Will get a jrp soon ^^

Thanks for the support guys

I have a lot of xboxes laying around some still with old cb for jtag
but has busted gpu or gpu removed, need to fix them,

I also have some working ones, but are not exploitable and I messed up all drives they are not dead or bad, but dont know which drive on which console

so trying to jtag them to get dvd key and compare xd

its a big chaos and to much work, but I started on it today..

had a xbox I couldnt read, but today I tryed a second nand-x and it started to read, so in all those years, I though bad soldering, but it wasnt..
cause of this I maybe f**ked up some boards in the past, when they probably worked fine.. on a working nand-x ... :)

But im happy I know what the problem is ;) so Learned from it :) and thats price less

goodday guys =D

Another guestion, is it worth to get new gpu and reinstall them on those mainboards? + I see there is now r-jtag so dont has to be cb exploitable anymore or has to be on low dash. :), so maybe I can safe them all, but what can I do with them? cause 1 or 2 xboxes is enough, and the upcoming xbox one, will somebody still buys a 360?

Will it be worth all the effort?

just updated a console to newer freeboot, but black screen.. I did all correct, its xenon, and flashed xell reloaded, test on hdtv cable no picture.
green straight led when booting, no xell either, guess need to reinstall nand-x to reflash?, dont know how it did go wrong, Used nandflasher on 360 that good one, and it remapped bad blocks all went well verify was valid, so strange, even let 10min no power , so nand would not corrupt..

it sucks, :(

but will rewrite backup.bin back and check if still works..

;)

Dont waste your time comparing drives just read the nand and obtain the dvd key then build the fw and flash any drive with it as long as the drive type is the same.

Yes found out today @ my other local forum
but is it worth the money to buy all those chips for every single console?
and some missing gpu or has bad gpu .. so takes a long time?

Would you guys say worth my penny?

Can I identify with only the dvd key which dvd type I need?
cause I think I have to know which dvd type for which console :) ?

Depends may only be worth getting the ones that work going for the money you would invest in them, but others just do it for the challenge. Read the link in my prev post as well as the sticky's on the site. Use jrunner as well. Once you get the CPU keys off the boards it will tell you what DVD drive it had etc.
