Hello,

A friend gave me his drive, it seems that this drive has been spoofed. He says me the drive is a Samsung, but JungleFlasher detect a Liteon DG-16D2S 74850c.
My question is, how to flash that drive ? I need to flash this drive as a Samsung or as a Liteon 74850c ?

(I don't know if it's a Samsung S25 or S28, I don't know either the version of custom firmware)

Thanks for future answers :D

Intro the drive as per jungleflasher instructions for sammy drives and read the firmware. Once u load this CFW dump into firmware tab it will tell u whether it's a m25 flashed as liteon ir m28. Then revert the drive back to original firmware (25 or 28). Now flash according to your needs, either Lt 2.01 or stock. Just remember that all sammys are m28 firmware after dash 13141 update. Happy flashing.

If you're using a Sammy in place of a Liteon, then you're going to fail AP checks on post 13141 dashboard.

If I flash the Samsung as you say, I will be able to play XGD3 games ?
I heard I need to buy the original drive who was in the console (Liteon DG-16D2S 74850c) for play XGD3 games (because there is some problems with LT+3.0 and spoofed drives), it's right ?

PS: The dashboard was not updated since few years.

If you flash a Samsung as a liteon with lt 3.0 u will fail the ap25 checks and get banned quick. Spoofing different drives is not supported.

Lol dude the only solution is to put the original drive back in the system which I think u said is a liteon. Sammy drives can play newer games if its a sammy drive that actually came with ur box. Spoofing is a no no as others have mentioned

Okay I need to ask, why are you needing your friends drive, is your original broken?

1. Spoofed drives are not recommended, although possible its not recommended to swap drive brands.
2. You said "A friend gave me his drive, it seems that this drive has been spoofed", even so, the chances are, its not spoofed for YOUR console.
3. The best thing you can do it take a photo or post accurate information about the replacement drive.
4. As mentioned above, its best you use your original drive, but if that's not possible, its best you post as much information about that as possible.

In conclusion, you need to post more information about your situation before anyone can help you.

Please post that and then you can be helped.

My friend gave me his Xbox 360 so that I can flash his drive.
He said me the drive was flashed few years ago, and the guy who flash it change the drive by a Samsung.

He would like play XGD3 games, but I'm very lost, I already flashed BenQ and Hitachi drives but never a spoofed drive :(

As everyone else has already told you . You would need to find out what the original drive for that console was and then replace the drive with the original before you even look at the firmware for the drive

The chances are that the original drive is what's the replacement drive is spoofed as, which is the liteon. Assuming the original drive is what the replacement drive is spoofed as would be relying on the competence of the person who spoofed it to start with.

Basically, taking the risk and assuming that the lite on drive is the original, you would simply get a lite on drive, and add the stock firmware which is correct for that dash version, then updating the dash post 13599, preferably latest, then after that flash it the usual way.

Just remember, assuming the original drive is in Fact a lite on is based on the competence of the person who spoofed it earlier. Its your risk to take.

The drive would have to have been a Liteon originally otherwise the Xbox would have matched the wrong OSIG to its kv and thrown an E66 error. Clearly the person who originally fixed/flashed the drive was too cheap to replace with another liteon. Spoofing different drives is lame and sloppy.
