I read that for my 1.6 motherboard I need the newest version of cromwell to get rid of my black screen problem here. I also read that I can either send it back to the manufacter or get a friend to do it? How can a friend (with a modded xBox I'm assuming) flash my bios? I'm sure there's a tutorial and plenty of help somewhere but I just can't find it. I have plenty of buds around here with modded xBoxs so if someone could just let me know how they can flash my chip with the new cromwell it'd be great! Thanks for the info!

Ok, so I see no one wants to help me. I think my question was bad. Basically, I don't get the flashBios screen when I boot with the chip.

mobo v1.6
chip x3

Also, if I need the new FlashBios how do I flash it to my chip? Do I need to make it 1MB with bios manager? Someone please help me!

Update Issue...need some help

Hi,

I recently flashed my hitachi 47 with ixtreme1.5, and when I put in a backup game I get the following message:

"An update must be applied to your console to play this game. If you decline this update, you will not be able to play this game." I click "yes, update now" and get the following message

"Can't install the update. This disc is unreadable. 1. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, 2. Restart the console."

I cleaned the disk and restarted the console but receive the same message.

However, if I remove the hard drive from the xbox, it allows me to play the game, but I am not allowed to save any data.

Anybody have any suggestions on how to play the game with the hard drive plugged in? Appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance!

ah the game seems to be patched to play on earlier versions of IX. You need get a copy that has not been wave patched.

Re: Update Issue...need some help

Do I still need to get an earlier wave patched version if I am on Ixtreme 1.51. I accidentally put ixtreme 1.5 instead of 1.51 in my earlier post.

And why does the game work if the hard drive is not attached?
