Hmm well i thought jungleflasher now supports flashing the lite-on via sata cable.

You always use sata - but for the 74850C liteon still requires additional HW to dump the key.

The newer 83850C can be dumped and flashed without the additional HW

Yea thats what i meant braveheart with the additional HW i.e CK3+PROBE.

Thanks for your responses, i have ordered the extra hardware to extract my drive's key. Another quesiton, is jungleflasher the easiest method to flash the Lite-on 74850c or should I use iprep/dosflash instead?

Hi all,

Sorry for thread Hijack but my question is about the Key extractor. I bought a new Elite 360, open it up this morning and it has the 7xxxx firmware liteon drive. I know I needed a key extractor so I just went ahead and bought the USB Xtractor & 360 Power Unit from http://www.xtractoruk.com/ Its linked from jungleflasher website so I just went and bought it without thinking, Are those the right items I need to flash my liteon?

Thanks A lot for answering braveheart mate. Was worried I had bought the wrong items with all the talk of CK3+Probe etc.

Just need to actually get my head around the actual procedure now hehe
