N00b here.

I was wondering how to format the internal drive when running with RGH+Freeboot.

It seems I have to format it with NXE to FATX in order to use an internal SATA-drive.

But what about the FATX file-format? Won't it be limited to storing files of 4gb's in size? That's a problem considering many backup ISO's take up 8 GB's or more.

So people running without RGH/JTAG could use non-original hard drives as well? I thought that wasn't supported by xbox (slim).

Sounds awesome. I'm getting it back tomorrow with the RGH-mod. Looking forward to playing around with it.

In reference to your OP, FATx is limited to 4gb.

You don't copy your ISO rips to the HDD - you extract them from the disc or image. Better still, use your original and install to the HDD via NXE then use an app called NXE2GoD to convert into Game On Demand.

Thanks for all the help guys. I know these are lame questions from a more "experienced" point of view. But I'm simply having trouble finding any solid info or tutorials anywhere. I mean just info on how to install applications and games, when I have paid someone to do the actual modification for me.
I'm sure I'll get a hang of it once I get to play around with the console.

Isn't there an easier way to install games directly from the FreeStyle Dash?

I was hoping I could just copy the games via FTP, and the game would appear in the games-menu in FreeStyle Dash.

going back to the hdd question, is there any way to format a 1tb hdd to use with both the official dash and the rgh dash.

Just thinking out load here, like if you had a slim with cygnos dual nand and 1 hdd for both.

Would there be a way to create 2 partitions and format one partition with the GOW3 hd.bin file and the other with nxe on the rgh dash (just an idea)
