how to identify what hack/mod i have

Hi i got my lads a chipped/hacked xbox 360 ive had a read on the net and found xbox360 iso extract and put a few games on the hdd but ive had a few go through the process of converting but then when i put them on the hdd its says cant open re download or something like that. is there better programs to use and also how do i know what mod ive got to use differant programs.As you can tell im new to this but dont mind learning lol.

Yes you are missing something. That's the number one rule that you agreed to when you signed up. This forum only supports ripping or backing up games that you legaly own.

i do own the games but when there with me i got them a chipped xbox so they dont have to carry them all over to mine at weekends.so is there anyone that can help with my problem !

ive never taken one apart b4. is it a simple process of taking a few screws out and taking the top off

If you owned the games, why were u downloading them. U can just rip them using the install function in the main dashboard or Freestyle Dash. If u can run Freestyle dash or xex menu then u have a working Hacked box (RGH or Jtag). U don't need to open it up. The programs u use are all the same, a hacked box is a hacked box. If u can only play copied games and no homebrew apps then u have a dvd flashed xbox which can still go on live.

Also should be noted, that if you run dash launch installer, it will tell you what hack you have on your system.
