How to install a X2.6 on a ver 1.6b Xbox...

Okay i am using this http://teamxecuter.entryhost.com/x3/tutorials/x3pin16.htm?CMSSESSID=8eee046a13aff310a0c0e1432c5f97fd, its okay now it seems i have to use that Rebuild PCB.

Now i am goingto install the chip using the pin head, so when i install the Rebuild PCB, will it look like http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7768.

Look down the page to the Rebuild PCB.

You see that gray wire, can someone tell me if i am going to need it to install a gray wire there if i use the pin head install medthod?

Also do i needto remove any pins from the "pin head"?

Also there is a short red cord that cam with the X2.6 CE chip, i think that it is the power cord, where do i solder it to?

Grey wire is D0, yes it needs to be installed. You have to remove pin 6 from the pinheader. Why not look at the entire tutorial? <-- link

What abouth the power for the X2.6CE, i have this red cord with a conector at the end with plugs onto the chip, i think its for power.

Where do i solider that?

Okay i read both of thouse guides. My xbox is fraging. The thing is if i select on the controler to off lights the lighs come on, and i select to off it it comes on.

What could have i switched?

Any idea?

your not making any sence slow down what light the light on the switch or the lights on the chip tell as more
if you not getting flashbios on ever bank your install need to be checked again check all soldering points and all wireing

Sorry what i mean is, there is this controller that came with the chip, you can select which bank you want for the bios, flash protect on or off, mod chip on or off...

That controller, it conects to the chip via a cable.

Any way when i start my xbox up, with these setting on that controller:

1...mod chip on

2...lights on

3...bank 2

There is no lights on the controller (except for a light to say the mod chip is on) but there is a blue light on the mod chip.

Now if i set it up as:

1...mod chip on

2...lights off

3...bank 2

There is lights on the chip and on the controler, like hard drive and bank 1

But no mater what i do it keeps on:

Starting up ad shuting down 3 in a row, then starts up and FRAGs.

What do you think could be wrong?

recheck youir install if its faging and you have not flash it with a bios then its your install
