How to install avalaunch via FTP?

I successfully flashed the bios of my xbox via internet explorer, now I can load to the v1959 bios screen, but can't figure-out how to ftp the avalaunch files to the C: on my xbox... I can't even get a connection (connection failed - timeout). I am using the correct address, and I am using the x3/x3 login combo, but I'm get a timeout.

It's connecting across a router, but I can ping my xbox's ip address. Any ideas?

When I launch the v1959 bios, do I have to select something in order to allow me to access the xbox HD via FTP? I am trying to access via FTP when the v1959 is just at it's main menu.

go into the ftp config on the x3 and set the ip to static perhaps... ive never had this issue before. maybe try another ftp client? i use smartftp with no problems... if you were able to flash via http there should be no problem with the ftp.

Problem solved... The x3 had DHCP disabled. I enabled it, rebooted and bingo it works.

np, how were you able to ping it if dhcp was disabled?
