Haven't seen this on here or if I missed it feel free to delete this.

I've stuck it in the JTAG section but maybe it should be with the RGH stuff cause it's for slims. Who lnows and possibly noone cares!

So to install FSD on your 4gb console internally you can try this.

Format a usb key to FAT32 and put freestyle dash in a folder called freestyle on it.

Download USB_dll from here http://www.multiupload.com/JL3ETVF0GR and put it in a file called plugins on the usb key

Install Dashlaunch (I used 2.25 I assume 2.26 works as well)

edit the launch.ini file. Mine looks like this (you can just cut and paste)

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Flash:\dash.xex
Default = usb:\Freestyle\default.xex

[Settings]
pingpatch = true
contpatch = true
fatalreboot = true
regionspoof = true
dvdexitdash = true
xblaexitdash = true
fatalfreeze = false
nxemini = true

[Plugins]
plugin1 = usb:\Plugins\ftpdll.xex

Put it in the root of your usb key

Plug the usb into the xbox and boot. It should boot to FSD.

Open your preferred ftp program (I used Winscp). Use port 7564. Your IP address should show in FSD if you click the right thumbstick. Username: xbox password: xbox

Connect to your xbox and intmu should now show up.

Copy your FSD folder into the root of intmu.

Copy your plugins folder with the ftpdll.xex file to the root of intmu.

Make a new launch.ini file like below

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Flash:\dash.xex
Default = intmu:\Freestyle\default.xex

[Settings]
pingpatch = true
contpatch = true
fatalreboot = true
regionspoof = true
dvdexitdash = true
xblaexitdash = true
fatalfreeze = false
nxemini = true

[Plugins]
plugin1 = intmu:\Plugins\ftpdll.xex

Place that in the root of intmu.

Take out the usb key and reboot into FSD.

All done and ready to play!!:p

Why isn't it a good idea? It seems to work ok but I'd love to know why it may not be a good idea.

according to one of the Devs, FSD doesn't know what IntMu is so cannot address it properly.

As I said, might not be accurate but either way it's more convenient to have it on a USB / HDD.

Maybe that's been fixed in the newer version that Uber is testing. Seems to work for me but if there's any problems I'll update the thread. Just useful to have it onboard for some of my clients who are new to RGH or Jtags.

i pop a 4 gig in my 250 console.nxe finds it,but when i am in fsd it will not see it.

so it wont see the internal memory.
You can't access it through FSD yet. You need to FTP in using the plugin as per the OP.

I have tried this on a couple 4gb slims, accessing intMU via dashlaunch plugin ftpdll.xex, works and boots to FSD but FSD is pretty unstable. Like it freezes when using file manager etc, not even worth it. Then when ii set it up on USB or HDD works fine

Yep - wait until the updated FSD is released... ;)

Is there any guide that shows how to load Freestyle dash and Dashlaunch from an external HDD?
I don't want to mess around with my internal mu.

Just drag the FSD folder on to an external drive and run the xex from there. Or if you want it to boot from the external edit your ini file for dashlaunch.

Does it matter what Dashboard (version) I have in order to install dashlaunch. I'm on I'm on 2.0.13604.0 right now?
Is this a good edit of the ini file?

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = USB:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = USB:\Freestyle\default.xex
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

I put the FSD on my External HDD as Freestyle folder like it says on Default, but where do I put the dashlunch files?

Thanks.
