Over Speed Writing = Enabled
IMGBURN settings

OPC = Enabled
Burn Speed = 4x

SATA Chipset = nVidia onboard serial ATA Controller

A bad birn is a bad burn period. The results avg have been set for us a minimum guide so anything over is bad.

Also I would recommend creating your own back up via a 0800 v3 revision drive..downloading scene releases is still piracy. Just something to be aware of regardless if you own the original.

Thanks for the advice and I know that averages have been set as a baseline to a good or bad burn.

But as I noticed that my burn was well bellow these values, but, for PI Max that spiked above 100 to 110 at the layer break, I was expecting that someone with a bit of knowledge could say if this is normal and doesn't necessarily means its a bad burn or if it is unacceptable.

Till now I've been only reading people with nothing much to say but QQ about piracy, which, by itself is hypocrite since 99% of this forum baseline comes here for this sole purpose.. doesn't matters what you call it, piracy is piracy. Either your consuming or dealing it..

I did end up purchasing gow3 but am guilty of leeching the scene release before retail, same with MW3, but plan on purchasing that as well on the 8th, I just get a little impatient when the game I've been waiting to drop for ever is right in front of my face, hard to wait that final week lol.

MW3

EEPROM settings:
Smart Burn = Enabled
Force Hyper Tuning = Enabled
Online Hyper Tuning = Enabled

IMGBURN settings:
Perform OPC Before Write = Enabled
Write Speed = 2.4x

SATA:
Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family 6 port Serial ATA Storage Controller

MEDIA:
Verbatim DVD+R DL
MKM-003-00

And this one is exactly the same back-up, but with the write speed adjusted to 4x

Which in my opinion is a much better burn than the previous

And this is an exact re-burn as the above but this has spikes at the layer change so it must be inconsistent media.

But still within the limits my a long margin.

Somes users says that a pike at the layerbreaker can be tolerated... but I can't find where Ubergeek said that.
The PImax is 100, you're at 110, at the layerbreaker... should be good I think.

Have you try to clear the OPC history before the burn ?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I haven't tried clearing the OPC History since the drive is new and that was its first burn :x there shouldn't be any "history" from previous burns.

Think it's still worth to try?

Since I didn't see anyone else do this, I put my retail disk of MW2 in kprobe and it did the scan very fast like in 20 seconds. Here it is.
The PI 16
The PIF 4

Maybe post retail image and copy image to compare them with your settings.

I guess I'm trying to figure out how different retail versions can be and how different the PI/PIF is depending on game .

Something to think about and explore. The same retail game pressed at different time or location could have different PI/PIF.
